Life Lately: On Changes and New Challenges

Hello everyone! So some of the bloggers I follow have this segment in their blog, “Life Lately,” where they talk about what’s new in their lives or, literally, what they’ve been up to lately. So this is me, slowly making this blog more ME, instead of just focusing on the usual beauty and fashion posts. I hope you’re cool with that.

My first two years in Pampanga were pretty quiet and boring. Work, home, work, home… And I was even single at that time so shouldn’t I be always out having a good time? My social life was a blank canvas here and I only get to go out for dinner with officemates. Fun? Well at times, but clingy much? So when I finally met the blogging community in Pampanga, I got so excited that I’m willing to free my schedule and not go back to Manila on a weekend just to meet up with them.

Another busy day at work. My usual routine once I get to the office would be: set-up my laptop on my desk, make coffee, sit down and check for new email messages... And then I saw an email from IMPACT HUB MANILA inviting me to join their HUBLOGATHON: Blogging For Impact on August 3 (a Monday), and I quickly replied: YES!

Blog o' Speak: The First Manila Blog Convention

Gelleesh has been online for about four years now but my blogging life started way before that. I remember having a blog way back in high school wherein I rant about the silliest things and YES it's still online (because I forgot the username and password I used LOL).

Whenever I would reminisce my early blogging years and read my old high school posts... I can't help but cringe at how badly they were written and how obsessed I was with vampires, video games, Resident evil, and being a goth. I was so cool before.

It's My 4th Year Blog Anniversary

My blog just turned four years old this June. Happy Anniversary to me, yey!

For the first two years of my blog, I've often held a giveaway because I have so much free time in my hands; however, I'd like to do something different this year since I have been really busy with work and other things in my personal life.

My 2014: One Helluva Rollercoaster Ride

No one will ever know what tomorrow will bring. All we can do in life is to live it as it is and make the most out of every moment. When 2014 started, that is what I exactly did and now that the year is about to end, I can honestly say that I do not have a single regret in all the decisions I made. True that this year has not been an easy one, but I cannot go about leaving 2014 without saying that it has also been one of the most blessed years in my life.

Writing, for me, is an outlet. It's through writing that I find comfort when I'm stressed, where I can just rant out those things that bother me in a more vague and subtle manner and just release all the emotions I have inside. I have been keeping two blogs (not all of you might know of it). One is this - Gelleesh.com and the other one is in Tumblr - Gelleesh.tumblr.com. I want to keep all my positive, encouraging, and beauty and fashion related posts here while go rant about things and release all my emotions at my Tumblr blog.

I wanted to close the year with a bang and so far, I’m doing pretty well, I think. A lot has happened this 2013 – in my personal life, love life (ayiiiee!) and in my blogging life. I’ve been on and off with my blogging this year because I have focused more on my full time job; but when I finally got the hang of juggling my blogging and full time work (with our reorganization and new job functions) I’m glad to be ending 2013 with an active blogging life again!

Happy June everyone! I don’t know if some of you guys remember but I hope at least one or two does but this June marks my 2^nd year as a beauty and fashion blogger of So Gelleesh. I can’t believe my blog is already two years old! I know I have been a bit low on posts for the late 2012 and early 2013 but I’ve been doing my best to keep up because writing is my first love so even though I am pretty stressed out with work (still writing) leaving blogging would never be an option. Through blogging I have met awesome friends and new people who contributed to who I am today and to the improvements I have made not only in the art of makeup and fashion but also in dealing with life.

Ever since I got so obsessed with makeup and beauty products, I make it a point to attend bazaars and expo, which are related to my new found interest. You see, unlike other beauty bloggers who have been into makeup ever since, I was kind of a boyish girl back then who doesn't care about newly threaded brows or zits popping out because I thought it was just natural. But after my friend Celine (Fashiometics.Wordpress.com) talked to me about makeup and all those stuff, I just got hooked immediately. human nature or woman nature?

OOTD: Black, White and Pink

Not a very creative title. I know. Sorry, guys. Haha! Two weeks ago, I think, I attended the Cynos Hair Fashion Show with a new beauty blogger friend, Chriselle of Cosmetic Fixation. The invitation just found its way to my email and at first, I dunno who would go; but after posting in Facebook about the event and asking who would be going, I'm glad someone responded. Chrissy is going and I haven't met her yet in person that's why I'm quite excited to finally meet the blogger behind the awesome Cosmetic Fixation blog plus, a new blogger friend. Yey!

Travel Diary: Gelleesh Visits Cebu (Day Four)

I can honestly say that the my fourth day in Cebu was the best part of the whole trip. I actually woke up a bit late. I was suppose to wake up around 6AM, I think, because we'd be editing the recap video; but silly me, I woke up a bit late. Actually, it was an hour late, I think. So, I rushed to Ma'am Maris' room and went on with editing. I actually forgot the details during the morning because there's nothing very exciting about the morning activity.
