OOTD: The Last Few Days Have Kicked My Ass

Ooookay, the title was still a line from my super favorite song right now, Here's To Us. I just can't stop singing the song. I mean, listen to it and you'd know why. Anyway, true enough, I've had ups and down this last week. I got sick during the first two or three days of the start of the week and then some crazy shits happened at work and some random happy stuff with friends and loved ones. This Saturday, however, it was raining real hard (well you're all aware of that) but I still went on a night out with some friends and just chilled out with them in Timog.

Travel Diary: Gelleesh Visits Cebu (Day Four)

I can honestly say that the my fourth day in Cebu was the best part of the whole trip. I actually woke up a bit late. I was suppose to wake up around 6AM, I think, because we'd be editing the recap video; but silly me, I woke up a bit late. Actually, it was an hour late, I think. So, I rushed to Ma'am Maris' room and went on with editing. I actually forgot the details during the morning because there's nothing very exciting about the morning activity.

"Gonna live like it's the end of the world..."

2012 please be good to me. 2011 had been one helluva great year for me but I didn't expect it. I just lived this year to the fullest and I'm just glad that everything turned out great. This will be a thanks giving blog post of some sort with some random stuff so please bear with me.

After Christmas Haul

Yesterday (December 27, 2011) I went to SM North and Trinoma with my younger sister, Czarina (The Black Sheep Project). Her main purpose, actually, was to complete the stickers on her Starbucks card for a planner and, well, I'd be meeting up with some of my blogger friends.

Bloggers United Pop-Up Bazaar

Merry almost-Christmas everyone! Yep, wrote this blog post December 24 so I'm greeting everyone a Merry almost-Christmas. Yesterday (December 23, 2011) I was super exhausted but happy and, somehow, fulfilled, because of the Bloggers United Pop-Up Bazaar.

Mario Maurer - The Encore

I love Mario Maurer. I guess all of my friends know that already. When he first came here in the Philippines, I wasn't able to attend the fan conference because it's our company's anniversary celebration; but I guess I really am meant to see Mario Maurer. Thanks to Penshoppe and the Queen B, PublicityAsia (Joyce Ramirez), Mario Maurer came back for an encore last December 13, 2011 at SMX Convention Center.

The Suplado Show Guesting

Jay | Jesrhel | Stanley | GELLEESH
I have been a bit inactive online because I have really been busy these past few days; but here's my next blog post and it's all about what happened last week. Well, Monday, specifically.  I have blogged last week about my guesting at The Suplado Show and the stuff I gave away. The guesting was at 9:00 PM so I stayed a bit longer at the office then commuted my way to DigRadio's home.

There's Stanley! :)

With PinkMagaline.Com
During the guesting I met Jesrhel, the blogger behind HurricaneKitty.Tumblr.com. She is one of the bloggers who are also invited to guest at The Suplado Show. We were part of the first batch along with Jay of More Than I Can Chew. Stanley Chi, the host of The Suplado Show is super funny. I remember watching his TV Show back then, Front Act, so when I found out he is the one hosting this online radio show, I did not have any second thoughts. We talked about blogging, why we blog, what we do aside from blogging, how we got into blogging and there were callers and texters who even asked us questions. I'm still actually waiting for Jeremy (the one who called and won my giveaway) to contact me for his prizes.

After our guesting, Jesrhel and I grabbed a cab and went home. Good thing we both have the same route! Plus, I'm really glad to have met a new friend thanks to blogging. Oh, BTW, thanks to The Suplado Show for the Unisilver gift certificates. Might give some of 'em away soon!

When I got home I was welcomed with a package. The package came from a blogger friend of mine, DailyFashionistaManila.com. She is one of the first bloggers I've met and have been friends with along with ShopGirlJen, Brew Of The Day and Earthlingorgeous. She sent me a Marks & Spencer tote bag. Thanks super! It's one of the earliest Christmas gifts I received aside from the Kris Kringle at work. :)

Oh, and I also received a gift from Get Laud which I picked up from their SM Valenzuela Branch. I got their 2012 calendar with discount coupons and a Get Laud notebook. I have been supporting the brand because of their good service and the gorgeous plus size clothes they offer. Thanks to Joanna of Get Laud. Some of my blogger friends will be receiving the same gift. Yey! :)

There's so many blessings this year. I will never ever forget 2011. More blog posts about the awesome and amazing stuff I got and attended. Thank you Lord! :)

NOTW: Metallic

It has only been a day since I last update this blog but it feels like a long time already. I have pending posts (not required, just stuff I want to share to you guys) so I'm starting of with this. This is my nail of the week and I wore this during the Mario Maurer ENCORE, KYSS Anniversary party and the mini-Christmas Party with some of my officemates.

I adore the Nature Republic Nail Polish because they're very easy to apply, they have wide brushes and the colors I got are awesome; but there's one major problem I've had and that is the nail polish does not last long. Like after three days, they're starting to chip already. Boo! ):

So anyway, just wanna give you guys a quick recap of what has happened to me this week and what has kept me busy. (This will also serve as a reminder of what I should be blogging about next in between my reviews)

First, Monday I was a guest at The Suplado Show! Yey! Will blog about that soon and also made a new friend through it. Tuesday I went to the The Encore by Penshoppe featuring Mario Maurer (kilig!) and then to the KYSS Anniversary party with my Minion friends. Thanks Queen B (@PublicityAsia)! Wednesday, I went out on a mini-Christmas party with some of my officemates; and now it's Thursday. I'd also soon be making a review, also, of the Snoe Gluta Powder Mask. I love its effect and it has really lighten my skin. Nope, it did not make my face ultra white cos it would look weird but it made my skin lighter in a natural way.

Anyway, that's it for now. Will post a blog entry again tomorrow. Surprise if it's a makeup review or one of the events I attended. Hope you're all doing great. How was your week? Do tell me all about it at the comments section below! Love y'all! :)

Bloggers United 2 Experience

This is my first Bloggers United event because I was not very active with blogging events when the first Bloggers United happened and I wasn't with Blogger yet at that time so I do not know much bloggers. I was stuck with Weebly. Haha!

With Earth :)
Anyway, I want to thank my blogger friend, Earth of Earthlingorgeous, for including me in her guest list so I was able to got in for free. She also has a booth there and I was able to buy a few stuff. Thanks again, Earth!

With Danah :)
The venue was at Treston International College and when I arrive, the place was jam packed! The line was, already, quite long but it was worth it. First stop was to look for the booth of one of my favorite bloggers, The Plump Pinay. I bought a Plump Necklace from them. They were super nice and  Danah remembered me. :)

As much as I don't want to spend much on makeup, I still am on the lookout for some and there were very few. I passed by the booth of Marj Sia and I looked on the makeup. She was selling Catwalk Cosmetics and other makeup tools; but what I bought is a skirt from their booth. I dunno whose it from because the whole booth were from the Gondo Girls.

After buying a skirt, I roamed around again looking for some more makeup and I finally saw Reluctant Stylista's booth. I bought two Beauty Angel Cosmetics palette and she gave me a free facial mask. Thaaaanks! She's super nice and she was selling ELF Cosmetics for only P88 instead of the regular market price of P129.

With Sarah :)
Then I visited Sarah's booth. Sarah is the blogger behind Fashion Eggplant. I saw in her blog post, a day before the Bloggers United, that she'd be selling these cute tote bags with the caption: "There is a special place in hell for fashion bloggers." I bought it and we even posed in front of the camera flaunting the tote bags.

Thanks Multiply Philippines and Anagon! :)
Aside from the booth selling amazing clothes, accessories and makeup, the sponsors were giving away free stuff. I got a bracelet from Tomato and a couple of magazines; and as I was about to bid everyone goodbye, Anagon took me to the Multiply Booth and they gave me P500 of GC which I can use on that day to shop online! I will be making a separate post on how the process goes and what I bought. Thanks to Multiply Philippines and Anagon!

With Gie :)
BTW, Just want to let you know that another one of my blogger friends, Angel of Wonder Woman Rises, won the Accessorize Blogging Contest! Congrats, dear. You deserve it. And, Gie of Third World Fashion, arrived late and busy-busyhan sa registration. CHOS! Love you, Gie!

Stuff I got :)
I had a wonderful time though I was super exhausted. Kudos to the organizers and the bloggers who made the event possible. See you at the next Bloggers United! :)

OOTD: Corporate Fabulous

Take One! :P
Hola! Late blog post. I know. I just got home from the Primadonna event featuring their newest endorser, Anne Curtis. She is so pretty and nice. I will be doing a separate blog post about it soon, but for now I'm gonna be blogging my outfit for the event and for the whole day.

As you all know, I have a day job, which is still a writer (publications associate to be more specific) so I can't just go dress up like I'm going to a party 'cos KMBI has got quite some strict policy with regard to dressing up and all those stuff. So, I need an outfit which would be acceptable at work and would still look fab once I go to the Primadonna event.

Take Two!
For my top, I wore a Korean white ruffled blouse which I bought from Sumi's (The Purple Doll) online shop and a silver floral blazer from Erzullie. For my slacks, I got it from The Big Shop and necklace is from Genevieve Gozum. Erzullie and The Big Shop are two of my favorite shops because they specialize in plus-sized clothes; but they still manage to make it look very chic and fashionable. The pumps, are my favorite black pumps from our favorite shopping haven.

The pictures are a bit far; but I might post a better one soon coming from Jen of Shopgirl Jen's camera. Her cam managed to produce amazing pictures. It made us look like real models. LOL.

Anyway, I'm really exhausted and I still have work tomorrow. So, I guess this is it for now. Till next blog post! :)

Gelleesh at The Global Pinoy Bazaar

I have been blogging and tweeting about the Global Pinoy Bazaar since July and I guess that's quite an indication about how excited I was for this event. I'm proud for this organized bazaar by Yabang Pinoy because they showcased Filipino made products and the stuff at the bazaar are just so amazing.

I am guilty to have not been much of a Filipino made stuff fan; but when I visited the bazaar, I immediately fell in love with Filipino made products. There's this stereotype that when you say Filipino made stuff, you'd think of those native bags and the likes; but I stand corrected. There are lots of cute hand-made accessories, wallets, great clothes, organic cosmetics and other unique stuff you'd surely drool over.

My first purchase was from the amazing girls of Erzullie. I remember trying out for their model-search and I got passed the first part; but when I'm about to attend the official go-see, I sprained my ankle the night before and I couldn't walk well. So, I forfeited from the model search. However, I'm glad I finally get to meet 'em during the bazaar. They're so nice and it's actually their anniversary so some of the clothes were 50% off! I bought a blazer from them which I would be showing off in an OOTD soon. It's a surprise!

Finally, I got to meet Anagon of The Fashionista Commuter! I am a follower of her blog and then I found out that she is my officemate's Ana Vineles (yes, an Ana too), cousin. Small world, IKR! I have been eyeing the gold wired headband from her accessories shop so I finally bought it on that day. She is super nice and her accessories are super cute! Got the headband for only P200.00!

Meet Geoff and Martha. They're cousins and they share a booth at the bazaar. Geoff owns The Beach Baby while Martha owns Vesti. Okay, what is The Beach Baby? They sell beach wears that doubles as lounge and sleep wears! I bought cute cotton shorts from them. One for me and for my mommy dear. Geoff was super sweet and nice. I immediately felt at ease with her super bubbly personality and I'd soon be getting some stuff from her soon because Summer's almost here! After the chilly Christmas comes, Summer, right? Martha, on the other hand, designs and makes these awesome bags. They go from chic to formal and just simply creative bags.

Pitaka. If you're a Filipino, you definitely know what means. It is a Filipino word which means wallet. It's what Pitaka, literally sells. It's another store owned by Ana Patricia Locsin. The wallets can actually be your own design. You can inquire at her online shop: pitakaonline.multiply.com.

I finally met Ginger! She's the one I email and text about HYD's Fashion Face Off. I'm one of their blogger sponsors for the said contest and I must say, the designs are better in person! They actually have an on-going contest which I would be blogging about soon, so better watch out for it. This is for those who would be buying from the collection of the HYD finalists. Better hold on to your seats because it really is an exciting one!

The other shops I visited: JNBM Paper Clay (I bought some for my inaanak for Christmas!) | Punch Drunk Panda (I'm buying a laptop sleeve from them soon! Super cute designs, Filipino-made and they truly do showcase the creativity of our Filipino artists!) | Quiddity (Hand-made cute notebooks!) | Lotus (Soaps which have unique scents and flavors. They even have one in chocolate. Cool, eh?)

The bazaar was beyond awesome. I really enjoyed shopping especially when my shopping buddy for the day came: Micah of PrincessMicah.com. After we've tired out feet off of walking around the bazaar and drooling over the cool stuff we've seen, we had dinner and on the way, we saw these designer bag cupcakes. Cuteness! I actually want to buy one but I'm kind of scared that it may just be ruined on the way home or I might not have the guts to eat the very pretty cupcake. So, I was satisfied with taking a picture.

I have been a supporter of Yabang Pinoy ever since I  came across them through my blogging escapades. I now have their Yabang Pinoy bracelet which I wear everywhere I go. I'm proud of it! I hope another event like this will happen next year. I want to buy more Filipino made stuff because people might often take them for granted, but I'm a witness of how creative and innovative Filipinos can be through the Global Pinoy Bazaar!

Blogger Meet-Up

With Sofi, Shopgirl Jen's daughter

Yesterday, I met up with two of my blogger friends, Shopgirl Jen and Brew Of The Day. Jen also brought her cute little daughter, Sofi. It will actually be a weekly thing now that we'd be meeting up with each other. Do follow their blog for fashion, beauty and a lot more stuffs.

I first met up with Kai (Brew Of The Day) at Trinoma to take some picture for the Accessorize contest, then we met up with Sofi and Jen (Shopgirl Jen)  at SM North. Kai bought a Tony Moly nail polish for her giveaway so be sure to check out her blog for it. I loved the color and I hope I get to win it. Haha!

Then, we ate burritos at Army Navy and then long chikahan while having milk tea at Gong Cha. It was such a great bonding moment with this three girls (including the future couture model, Sofi) and I love meeting bloggers.

With Brew Of the Day (Kai)

With Shopgirl Jen (Jen)

If you want to join our weekly bonding, just tell us. We'd love to meet you in person and see who is behind those great blog posts. More pictures to be uploaded on my Facebook Page so do check it out. http://www.facebook.com/gelleesh ;)

Venice Piazza Food Adventure

Last Saturday, after Minion Treat at BonChon Chicken, blogger Earthlingorgeous invited me to the Venice Piazza Food Adventure at Mckinley Hill.

Upon arriving to the venue, we were given our Food Adventure Passport and we were so overwhelmed with all the food listed in it. The food were pouring in and we couldn't eat everything. We weren't able to finish them all, but we sure did eat a lot.

I wasn't able to take note as to which food came in first; but of course, I will never fail to show you the food I've tried:

Baked Macaroni w/ Orange Salad from Empire Deli & Restaurant

Baked Oysters from Pinchos Restaurant and Bar

Butter Ginger Crab Claws from The Red Crab

Crab & Mango Salad from Blackwood Bistro

Exotic Foods from Balaw Balaw (L-R) Worms,  Unhatched Egg Tofu and some Herbal Leaf

Frog from Balaw Balaw

Quesadillas and Buffalo Wings from Sweet Pea

Gelato (Vanilla, Strawberry, Mi Cherry Amore) from Sol Gelato

Overwhelmed? Well, Imagine all of these in front of you. It took us like 3 or 4 hours before we finish this. What I can never forget is the exotic foods I've tasted. It's the very first time that I have eaten those kind of food. Oh and my favorite was the Baked Oysters. I love Baked shell fishes. I still have 6 restaurants to finish and it's extended I don't know till when but next Saturday, I might go back. I'm still not sure, though. I will still have to check my schedule; but I do want to go back. My Saturday was filled with great food indeed!

Overwhelming indeed!

The satisfied look On Earth's face and mine. We're so full! :D

Till next post everyone! ;)
