Mini Bloggers Meet by Hyphen

TGIF! I have blogged before that Hyphen is going to the Fun in the Sun Bazaar and if you've been following me on Twitter and Facebook I posted an invitation to everyone regarding a mini-meet up Hyphen has organized. Actually, the meet-up is open for everyone so I also invited some friends to attend as well. Before I start my post about the event, let me just thank E of BitsandTreats.blogspot.com, the owner of Hyphen, for sponsoring the event.

DreamGirl Colors Eyeshadow

You all know how I love looking for good yet cheap products and this is definitely one of them. The DreamGirl cosmetics is from 4u2 Cosmetics. Honestly, it's my first time trying their line of cosmetics so here are my insights.

Swatching & Colors:

Since they don't have their own shade labels, I gave them my own personalized names. Feel free to call them by my given name shades.

Pink Rose

Yellow Sunshine

I guess it is pretty obvious which color is which right? :D

The Good Bits:

First of all, it is affordable. Though the prices may differ per place, it still costs less than 100 bucks so it is definitely inexpensive. I love the container of the eyeshadow. It is very chic and you can slide it even in your pocket because it is light weight and super thin. The pigmentation is average and the colors are wonderful.

Even though it is cheap, you are assured that this product won't harm your skin because it is sold at Watsons stores; but of course, if you have allergic reactions, please do check the ingredients of this makeup so you won't have any problems.

The Bad Bits:

The packaging is very poorly made

The container may be cute and all but the packaging itself is poorly made. The total packaging looks like a cheap sidewalk-bought makeup. The eyeshadows don't last long enough. If you're gonna be using this and you have an oily skin, better use a primer to make it last longer. It is also hard to identify which color is which because they did not put any name of shades on the container or even on the packaging itself; so I decided to call it Yellow Sunshine and Pink Rose

Again, it may not be generally harmful to the skin; but if you do have sensitive skin, check the labels first or try swatching it on your skin before purchasing so you'd know if it would give you an itch or if it is safe. Even the most expensive makeup could give you an itch if there is a specific ingredient you are allergic to in that particular product.

Over-All:

I actually love this product because it is inexpensive, the container is cute plus I love the colors. Again, if you're gonna be using this and you have oily skin, use a primer to make this last longer on your eyes. I would be giving it a 6/10. I would definitely be buying more of their colors and would be trying out more of their products.

FOTD: Being Barbie

It's been quite a long time since I last posted my look of the day and well, here is my new look. My inspiration for this is Barbie Doll. Alright, I cannot be as perfect as a Barbie doll but it's just an inspiration. I never claimed I will look like her.

Anyway, this look is composed of mostly blue and pink. Since I cannot have blue eyes (you can if you'd be using contact lenses), I'm applying it on my eye makeup instead.

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE

- EnCara BB Cream
- Everbilena Pro Longwear Loose Powder
- Everbilena Facepowder (Honey)
-Everbilena Single Blush-on (Rose)
- Clinique True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer (Sunblushed)

EYES

- Dreamgirl Colors Eyeshadow (Pink)
- Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color Quad (Denim Frost)
- Love & Beauty Smokey Palette (White)
- Everbilena Color Pencil (Brown)
- Generic White Eyeliner
-L'Oreal Voluminous Naturale Mascara

LIPS

- Watson Moisturizing Lip Balm (Sweet Strawberry)
- NYX Round Lipstick (Fig)

HOW I DID IT?

I applied the EnCara BB Cream all over my face using my fingers and then blending it using a Mariounnaud sponge then I set it with the Everbilena Loose powder.

For the eyes, I first did my eyebrows using the brown Everbilena pencil. I have a new color on my hair and since it's not black anymore, brown is the better brow pencil to use. After that, I applied the Denim Frost shade from Mary Kay all over my lids using a Marionnaud N35 Eye brush. I also used the Marionnaud N37 Eyebrush to soften the rough edges. Then, I used the Dreamgirl pink eyeshadow and applied it on the crease and outer v area of the eyes and soften the rough edges again. Using the Marionnaud N38 Eye brush's slanted side, I applied the Dreamgirl pink eyeshadow on my lower lash line and then the White eyeliner on my waterline. For the brow bone's highlight, I used the Love & Beauty Smokey Palette's white shade. After curling my lashes, I used the L'Oreal Voluminous Naturale as my mascara.

For the cheeks, I used the Everbilena Blush-on in Rose and applied it on my cheeks going slantly upwards. Then I used the Clinique bronzer for contouring. I applied it with the Marionnaud N35 Eyebrush and drew a line starting from the brows going down to the tips of the nose on both sides. I blended it usung the Marionnaud N37 Eyebrush and applied white eyeshadow on the nose bridge for highlight.

For the lips, I applied first the Watsons Moisturizing Lip Balm and then the NYX Round Lipstick in Fig.

I topped it all off with the Everbilena face powder in Honey using the ELF Total Facebrush.

I love the colors I used on my eyes and the Dreamgirl eyeshadow was such a great discovery for me. It lasted long and the pigmentation is good. I will be doing my review soon plus I bought another eyeshadow from Dreamgirl. It is only PHP99.00 in some Watsons branch but surprisingly, it's only PHP94.00 in Watsons SM Valenzuela where I bought my new one.

I hope you all love this look and till next post! ;)

Mini Haul at Watsons Mall Of Asia

I went to SM Mall Of Asia this Saturday just to meet up with some friends; but when I passed by Watsons, I just can't stop myself from buying something. I just bought a few stuffs so I guess this is okay.

Stuffs I Bought:

- Nivea Extra Whitening Deodorant - PHP143.00
- Dream Girl Single Eyeshadow - PHP 99.00
- Caronia Nail Polish (Blue Velvet) - PHP32.00
- Wish Foot blush - PHP64.75

Total: PHP338.75

I am surprised at how pigmented the Dream Girl Single Eyeshadow is considering that it just costs PHP99.00. Great deal huh? I will be making a review about it soon. I actually have a lot of products lined up for review and this is gonna be one of them. I love it when I find a good product at an affordable price; but keep in mind that these products may or may not irritate your skin depending on your skin's sensitivity. I am not scared, though, because it's from Watsons. What I'm scared of buying are the makeup sold at the sidewalk. Haha!

Oh, I also got free samples of the Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 Skin Transformer. It has SPF 26 and its shade is fresh. It looks kind of light for my skin tone; but I will give it a try. BB Creams are said to match any skin tone so let's see this one.

Hope you all had a fab Saturday! Till next post! ;)
