A Walk Down My Hair Coloring History

I have been asked a couple of times about my hair color and other stuff about hair care. Whether they’re from the comments section of my blog to being personally asked by my friends or co-workers, I just can’t give ‘em a straight answer. Why, you ask? First of all, my hair color is a product of different hair colors I’ve tried and second, my hair has gone to being brittle and damaged to being bouncy, smooth and soft again. Well, to answer the question once and for all, here is my hair color history post and some hair care tips for those who want to walk on my hair coloring path too. LOL.

New Hair Color - Etude House Bubble Hair Color in Gold Blonde

No blog post for two days. So not me, eh? I've been busy and exhausted these past days so please forgive my lack of posts. But I'm back and I'm showing you guys my new hair color. You see, lately, I've been contemplating on having something new done in my hair. I'm a bit experimental with hairstyles and hair colors although work won't allow a too crazy do, so I need to make sure that what I'd be doing is something which will satisfy my need to stand out but not too loud for work. It's quite a challenging decision because I'm just so outrageous and crazy so holding back would be quite hard.

Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring

I need a new hair color but I'm too kuripot to go to a salon again. I had my previous hair color care of my mom and it cost her P2,000+. As much as I want to have a good hair color which won't damage my hair I also need to be practical because money doesn't grow on trees as I am also saving up for something ;) So, I asked around for a decent DIY hair coloring available in the market and there have been many recommendations; but the one which made me finally release some moolah is this Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring in Sweet Orange!

After Christmas Haul

Yesterday (December 27, 2011) I went to SM North and Trinoma with my younger sister, Czarina (The Black Sheep Project). Her main purpose, actually, was to complete the stickers on her Starbucks card for a planner and, well, I'd be meeting up with some of my blogger friends.

NOTW: Just Like the Blue Sky

This is a simple nail art design; but I loved it so much. I guess I shouldn't make up something  too eccentric because I almost always end up messing my nails up.

WHAT I USED:

- Etude House Blue Nail Polish
- Caronia White Satin Nail Polish
- Caronia Nail Hardener and Base Coat
- Caronia Fast Dry Top Coat
- Hair Pin

HOW I DID IT:

First, apply the Caronia Nail Hardener and Base Coat. After that, apply two coats of the Etude House Blue Nail Polish. Then, using thw hair pin's round edge, dip it in the Caronia White Satin Nail Polish and just dot it on your nails. For the final touch, use the Caronia Fast Dry Top Coat.

Easy right? Try it and twit me a picture of yours. ;)

NOTW: Stars and Dots

I have finally made a new design on my nails. I want to share this new design and I hope you will all love it. I have said in my last nail of the week, My last nail art design was crappy; so, I made this new one.

What I Used?

- Etude House Pink Nail Polish
- Caronia Blue Velvet Nail Polish
- Caronia White Satin Nail Polish
- Caronia Nail Hardener & Base Coat
- Caronia Fast-Dry Top Coat
- Wish 3D Nail Stickers
- Hair Pin

How I Did It?

First, I applied the Caronia Nail Hardener & Base Coat. Afterwards, I used the Etude House Pink Nail Polish. I did two coats on this so that the color would be very visible. I colored the slanted half with the Blue Velvet shade from Caronia and then used the tip of the hair pin to put white dots on the Blue Velvet part. I, then, used one sticker per nail at the bottom part of the pink nail polish and topped it all off with the Caronia Fast-Dry Top Coat.

This is my favorite nail art I've personally done. I hope you loved it as well.

Etude House Aloe Mask

At my last haul made in Megamall, I bought the Aloe Mask from Etude House. It is actually my first attempt to use a facial mask and I do not have the slightest clue as to what to expect. I just followed the directions at the back of the pack; but didn't learn much since most of the info are in Korean.

It has claims of containing Aloe Extract. The recommended interval for mask is every 2-3 days and it should be left for 20-30 minutes. It says that its moisturizing aloe content will help prevent acne and soothe skin.

I cannot make a final review for this product because I have only used it once. I cannot buy another one again because Etude House branches are quite far from where I live or work; but I managed to funa dupe for this product which is a bit cheaper and I'd try reviewing that one instead after using it for like a month or two perhaps.

While wearing the mask. Look at the hollow space on the side of my nose

As per the structure of the facial mask, I think it is not meant for people with snub nose (which is the signature structure of the Filipino nose). If you'd see my picture while wearing the mask, it has a hollow space at the side of my nose. It did not fit my face perfectly because of that.

After using the Facial Mask.

After I've used the facial mask, I felt the soothing and cooling feeling it gave my face and the day after I've used it, I felt that my face has gotten smoother and more moisturized. However, on the next day, my face had a mini-break out. I had a pimple at the end of my left brow, and a few small ones on my forehead. Is it supposed to happen?

Used Facial Mask

The smoothing and moisturized feeling is great but I guess it was too much for my skin to handle. I hope that the dupe I bought would be better.

If you've got a better experience with the Etude House Aloe Mask, please do share it.

Till next post! ;)

Mini Haul at SM Megamall

Earlier today I was at SM Megamall and I actually want to go to Watsons. You know how much I love going to Watsons; but I'm like super tired the whole day so since I'm going to be riding the bus home and I'm going to be heading out via Mega B, I decided not to go all the way to Mega A for the Watsons store. Instead, I passed by two cosmetics shop. First one is the G-Lish Cosmetics. I was like G-Lish=Gelleesh. Hahaha! Cute! Then I headed down to Etude House. I love the atmosphere and the look of Etude House so even if their makeup doesn't match my skin tone, I just need to buy something. Hahaha!

Gelleesh. I mean, G-Lish

Skin Care

Cosmetics and Brushes

Cream Eyeshadows

Balms and Powders
Lip Brush (PHP50.00)

Eyeshadow Brush (PHP100.00)

Gelato Eyes Cream #21 (PHP60.00)

Let's start off with my G-Lish buys. I just passed by this and noticed that they have super low prices on their makeup and I got attracted by the way it was presented in their small stall located at the 3rd Floor of SM Megamall. I actually would want to buy more; but I decided to buy just 3 items because I need to know if this would work with me. Their cream eyeshadow is so tempting because it's cheaper then the DreamGirl Eyeshadow I have bought from Watsons. Oh, their brushes are goat hair as per the sales staff who attended to my queries. I touched the bristles and they are definitely different from my Marionnaud brushes because the G-Lish brushes I bought are very soft.

Aloe Vera Mask (PHP58.00)

3 Piece Hair Curlers (PHP78.00)
Again, it took me like 15 minutes, I guess, circling around Etude House just because I wanna buy something. I want a lot of Etude House paper bags too because they are just so cute! So I stopped by their tools and still no Dual Fibre Brush (Sad). So I bough their curlers instead. Haha! I just want to buy something and their curlers come in pink plus they're really cute. Blame me for loving anything pink and cute. Then I grabbed one of their facial masks and I'm done.

I will be posting reviews about these products soon. Watch out for it. If I fail to do so, please remind me. I've been buying a lot of products lately. I tend to forget which to review first.

Oh, First day on my next full-time job is on Monday. I'm excited! I need this job for more makeup hauls! Hahaha! Of course, I do love the job as well. I have a feeling that I'm so gonna enjoy my work. I just hope it won't eat up my blogging.

Anyway, till next post! ;)

NOTW: Pinks and Dots

This is my nail for the week but I would be replacing them soon because I think I applied the nail polish too thick that's why when I took a bath this morning and washed my hair, it kind of left this streaks on my nails and they look ugly; but I love the design I did with my nails so I might do this design again but using a different shade of pink.

For this nail of the week, I used the Etude House Matte Pink Nail Polish and it's kind of hard to apply that's why it doesn't look very neat. For the white dots, I used a Caronia White Satin Nail Polish and applied it using the rounded tip of a bobbi pin. I got this technique from blogger, MissKatv.

Before I start applying the nail polish, I used first the Caronia Nail Hardener and Base Coat and then after applying the nail polish, I topped it with the Caronia Fast Dry Top Coat.

I will be posting the part two of my nail of the week and I'd be using a different shade of pink so I can apply it easier. I kind of find it hard to apply the matte nail polish; but I so love the color.

Hope you like the design just don't mind the application much. Haha!

NOTW (Nail Of The Week): Purple Tips

my nail of the week

From Etude House

From Wish (Available at Watsons)

Hi everyone! This will be the first post in this series I've created in my blog. I am not the best in applying nail polishes but I am practicing and doing my best. I know I'd improve soon. Anyway, I am starting to be addicted to nail polish and I'd be buying a lot soon; but as you all know me, I will help you guys in finding where we could buy cute colors at inexpensive prices.

For my nail of the week, I used the Etude House Carnation Pink Nail Polish and the Wish  Purple Nail Polish as my tip. I topped it with Caronia Fast- Dry Top Coat.

Till next nail ladies! ;)

Ragdoll Makeup Look

I was bored today so I decided to make a Ragdoll makeup look. It kind of reminds me of Sally in the Nightmare Before Christmas. My model for this look is my ever supportive younger sister, Christine.

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE

- EnCara BB Cream
- Wish Pressed Powder
- Kawaii Liquid Eyeliner (Yes, on the face)

EYES

- Love & Beauty Smokey Palette (Gray and Black Shade)
- Love & Beauty Brow and Eyeliner
- Maybelline Full N Soft Mascara

LIPS

Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lip Liner #05
- MAC Lipglass in Gitane

HOW I DID IT?

First, I used the Marionnaud Sponge to apply the EnCara BB Cream all over the face even on the brows and a bit on the lips so that you can control how you want everything to look. The EnCara BB Cream lightens up the face that is why it is perfect for this rag doll inspired look.

For the eyes, I lined first the brow using the Love & Beauty brow and eyeliner then used the Gray shade on my Love & Beauty Smokey Palette to apply all over the lids until the brow bone. Apply the black shade from the crease blending it upwards. Once the eyeshadow is done, pull and blend some of it until it reaches the part below your eyes where the dark eye circle is supposed to be. This will create a darker look on the eyes; thus making it more perfect for a scary rag doll look. For the lashes, I just used the Maybelline Full N Soft Mascara since my sister's lashes are already thick and long naturally.

For the lips, I applied the lip liner from Etude House to draw first the lips I wanted. We want the lips full yet small. So I shaped it from the middle of the lips and left the sides looking pale and dry. After lining your desired shape of the lips, I filled it with the MAC Lipglass in Gitane to give it a red and shimmery look.

Now, here is where the transformation begins; using the Kawaii Liquid Eyeliner, I lined the two side of the cheeks starting from the lips and made a stitched look on it. Same with the upper part of the face starting from the forehead, passing through the eyes until the lower part of the eyes where the apples of your cheeks are. Make a stitched look with it as well. It doesn't need to be straight since it would look super fake.

This is one of the experimental looks I have tried and I hope you all love it. This is perfect for Halloween or themed parties. Do share me your picture if you tried this look. I will be posting more of our pictorials soon and maybe more on my Deviant Art page.

Till next post! ;)

FOTD: Despite Being Sick

Yes, I am down with a fever today and no, it didn't stop me from wanting to look all glammed up. I believe that a bad weather and a fever shouldn't be enough reason to stop us from looking good. So even if I'm sick and all, I'm giving you all this rainy day look I have made which is also a natural look everyone can wear even if they're not going out.

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE:

- EnCara BB Cream
- Wish Pressed Powder (Beige)
- Nichido Powder Blush (Cool Rum)

EYES:

- Wet N Wild Color Icon Brow and Eyeliner
- Love & Beauty Smokey Palette (Light Gray, Gray and Lightest Brown Shade)
- Maybelline Full N Soft Mascara

LIPS:

- Watsons Soothing Lip Balm (Raspberry)
- Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lip Liner #05
- MAC Satin Lipstick (Mocha)

HOW I DID IT?

Using my fingers this time, I applied the EnCara BB Cream all over my face. To set the BB Cream, I, then applied the Wish Pressed Powder using my ELF Total Face Brush.

For the eyes, I applied the Wet N Wild Color Icon Brow and Eyeliner on my brows, the light gray shade from the Love & Beauty Palette on my lids, the gray shade on the crease area and the lightest brown shade to highlight my brows. It is the closest to the white shade so I tried using this one instead of the usual white shade I use to highlight my brows. You can use a very light brow shade as long as it is closer to white than it is to brown. After that, I curled my lashes and  applied the Maybelline Full N Soft Mascara on my upper lashes.

For the lips, I first applied the Etude House Lip liner around the shape of my lips, then the Watsons Soothing Lip Balm and after that, the MAC Satin Lipstick in Mocha.

For the finishing touches, I applied the Nichido Powder Blush in Cool Rum on my cheekbone blending it slantly upwards and then I applied again the Wish Pressed Powder to set the whole look together.

So, that is how I made the look and I hope you all love it. Despite of the bad weather, I still hope you're all doing well. Don't forget to apply mosquito repellents and I hope none of you ladies get sick.

Till next blog post! ;)

Mini Haul at Etude House

You all know how I was so excited about the Etude House sale. So after Toycon, I dragged my sister to Etude House immediately to check out what they have in store for me. I repeatedly say how I would be raiding Etude House but that just didn't happen. I did buy a few stuffs but didn't actually raided the store.

WHY???

I have heard and read lots of great comments about their makeup and all but when I got there, the makeup they have just doesn't match my skin tone! Is this because it's a Korean based makeup company? I don't know. I'm looking, specifically, for a new blush which will suit my skin tone and there was none (or they just ran out of a color for me) which will perfectly match my skin tone. As for their eye shadows, I don't find them pigmented enough because when I tried the tester, it just disappears on my skin! Haha! Their products were so cute but I was like circling around every stall just so I can buy something.

I just couldn't go out of the store without taking advantage of the sale, so I bought at least a few items:

Stupid me because I threw the receipt but the total of the items I bought is less than P200. I bought two nail polishes. One is kind of like a carnation pink and the other one is matte pink. I love pink so I just couldn't resist not buying from Etude House. Oh, and I also bought an auto lip liner. I will be posting a review of these items as soon as I get to use them. Oh and I adore the Etude House paper bag so much. Hahaha! Just saying.

Anyway, if you guys know any on-sale cosmetics please do let me know. You know how much of a "kuripot" I am. Hahaha! ;)
